A food stylist is the person who prepares and perfects the product for clients who wish to advertise their product, recipe or restaurant.
| Jobs - shoots take place in photographic studio’s, film studios or locations for advertising, TV and Cinema. Rates depend on experience starting at R800.00 per day as an assistant and up to R3500.00 per day. The good news is that there are very few professional Food Stylists. The course will be presented by VANESSA BURNETT - who after obtaining a Science degree at the University of Cape Town, trained as a food stylist in New York. In 1990 she returned to South Africa with three years professional styling experience. |

As one of the top food stylists in this country, Vanessa is very experienced in all aspects of food.
She works with the top clients, photographers and directors both Nationally and Internationally including United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia and Egypt.
The Course will run from Sunday to Sunday – 7 full days

What will be covered:
Practical on all required specific categories - - -
Drinks. Steam and special effects. Breads and Sandwiches. Pizza. Ice Cream. Pastry and Pies. Burgers and Chips. Sauces. Salads. Fruits. Fish.
Meat. Chicken. Puddings and Cakes.
How to set up work stations and equipment requirements.
How to handle briefs, pre and post production.
How to quote and recon.
How to run your books and diary - you will take home a computer disk with quoting, invoicing and statement formats.
Marketing tools - you leave the course with two photographs (high res PDFs) to print your first business card.
The course cost is R15,000.00 which includes a tool kit that is worth R 4000.00 and computer disks. It includes all ingredients and lunch daily. 30% deposit on confirmation and the balance before or on the first day. Should you require accommodation, we will find you a good inexpensive B&B. Transport can be supplied provided you are close by
